Alleviating Cannabis High
#1
Greetings all,

I have a family member trying to work up to the gram a day treatment for cancer. As someone who has rarely used cannabis they are having trouble dealing with the high. We are currently at 2 1/2 drops out of the total 12 they need to work up to. The cancer is not treatable, not currently affecting their daily life and they are on no other medications.

Strain: Maui Bubble Gift: about 9% THC 16% CBD

Oil is decarbed and made from food grade ethanol extraction that has been winterized/combined with coconut oil and flavoring.

I have them taking it right before bed but they describe feeling less rested they next day. If the high kicks in before they are asleep it can make it hard to sleep. It is described as "VERY damn strong". However they do report the lectures/podcasts they listen to are extra interesting!! LOL

They continue to take it nightly but it makes them worried about how they are ever going to function at higher doses. I do not want them to get discouraged and quit all together but I can understand going from zero cannabis to very potent oils that it could be quite disassociating. I try to have them remember the feelings of radiation, surgery and pain medications but idk how much that helps or hurts really.

I have read that ibuprofen can help kill the buzz of cannabis so they are taking 500mg with the oil. They also have started taking a OTC sleeping pill to make sure they fall asleep. Here is one of the articles I read.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for beating the high?

From a friend and follower of PIF

Greetings,

I have worked with cancer patients for many years and any uncomfortable
even freaky high from cannabis is NOTHING compared to chemotherapy.
Whenever I escorted patients to have their chemotherapy the hospital
smelt of fear - I now refuse to do it. Everything will settle down
slowly. The patient needs to befriend cannabis - it is God's natural
medicine. To me it is about connecting to the energy of the medicine,
honoring it and trusting. At the same time it is important to flood the
body with living energy - the diet is important too. Lots of greens etc.
and cutting out junk food, plus creating a peaceful, loving environment
through prayer or whatever gives you that. When our bodies are on a
lighter vibration cancer cannot grow. I would also be careful of taking
any other heavy drugs like sleeping pills as they are toxic and cancer
grows in toxic environments.

I hope this helps.

Love Wendy

Thank you EDDIEKIRK and Wendy! I am ordering some Citicoline online and we will give that a try. I will let everyone know if it goes. I totally agree with what Wendy wrote and will pass it on. /emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">
